I had inquired at several shoe stores about how I could clean white leather athletic shoes. None of them carried a cleaning product, and I received varying responses ranging from “they can’t be cleaned” to “wash with a wet cloth” to “put them in the washing machine.” I bought this Kiwi whitener from amazon, and it works great. It is easy to use (just rub the little sponge on the end all over the shoes). It gives a cleaner, fresher appearance without that awful intense white that white shoe polish can cause, and it does not rub off on other clothing. It does not remove every spot, but I liked the result even on shoes that were quite old and abused. The sponge tip should be rinsed off under running water after use, then put the clear cap back on after drying. Otherwise, I suspect the product would dry out. 5 Stars: Worked great to cover up pen marks, stains,etc. I actually used it on a white leather purse. and it looks like new again. 5 Stars: For me, I am very hard on any leather shoes yet I love to wear white Keds tennis shoes or white leather shoes. A couple of weeks ago, I spotted this product in a local store and brought it home to try on my 5 year old Keds and also on a pair of white leather (dressy) shoes. And I was so pleased with the outcome of this, I am recommending it to you for the following reasons: 1) Easy to apply this and it is thick enough to cover the stains. (Hint, before I used this, I took a semi wet washcloth and gently wiped the shoes). 2) This product (after I buffed the leather with a soft cloth) gave out a nice sheen. 3) My white leather shoes (both Keds and dressy white leather shoes) are clean and look near new now!
